Quimera is a display family combining an idea for a contemporary serif letterform and some of the handsome spirit of Antique Olive – the famous early sixties’ design by great French designer Roger Excoffon. Antique Olive’s charm lies in its capricious horizontal stroke stress, and in its subtlety organic treatment of geometric features. Quimera is aimed to recover these characteristics but also to set up a new, daring, elegant serif letterform, also suitable for screen and small print.
